Pastor Michael
Abbott
and Diana Abbott |
|
Pastor Abbott began as the minister of
Brownsburg Baptist Church in March of 1994. He has enjoyed serving in
pastoral ministry since 1977. His ministry is characterized by his
desire to lead people to live biblically. He explains his philosophy of
the ministry from the words of Ephesians 4:11&12, "And he gave some
apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors
and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."
Pastor Abbott's preaching is evidence of
his experience and preparation. He has received a B.A. degree in
Pastoral Studies from Indiana Baptist College. He was the recipient of
the 1985 Alumnus of the Year Award from his alma mater. His approach to
pastoring a church is expressed in his faithful preaching, visitation
and helpfulness.
Pastor Mike Abbott is a well grounded
Christian leader who is known as one who “walks his talk” and “practices
what he preaches.” He is both business and people minded, giving him the
ability to deal with the complexities of stewarding church resources,
while maintaining the integrity and godly principles of the church he
leads. He prepares well for any church ministry, through prayer,
research, and wise counsel. He is a visionary, and is able to
communicate that vision to those he leads, allowing them to associate
themselves willingly with the ministry or project at hand. The continued
growth and commitment to God of the people he leads are his ultimate
concern and responsibility. |

Youth Pastor Drew Inskeep
and Amber Inskeep |
|
Drew Inskeep joined the staff of Brownsburg Baptist
Church in March 2009. Drew graduated from Pensacola Christian College in
2008. His desire is to show young people that there is joy in serving
the Lord Jesus Christ. God has called Drew into Youth Ministry, and it
is his desire to serve the Lord in this capacity. His ministry verse is
Acts 20:24, "But none of these things move me, neither count I my life
dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the
ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel
of the grace of God."
Drew met his wife, Amber, while at Pensacola Christian College. After
they were married in February 2009, they answered the Lord's call to
minister and serve at Brownsburg Baptist Church. They want to see the
next generation give their lives to the Lord to make a difference for
Him. They want to approach the ministry as an honor that the Lord has
given them to reach young people for Christ while doing it all for God's
glory. Bro. Drew Inskeep recognizes that our youth are
the future leaders of the church and has a heart to reach out to the
youth of our community as well. He desires to lead by example and teach
our teens to follow hard after God, to meditate upon His Word, and to
determine how to answer and handle life situations and temptations,
using godly principles, before they are confronted with them. He
encourages our teens to be servants in the church, and provides
opportunities for them to use their talents for the glory of God. |
